Grateful for such beauty...

One of the true delights of the internet is the connections it allows us to make with like-minded souls. Sometimes those virtual connections enter the real world as we begin to write proper, old-fashioned letters to send across the oceans...

Over the years of blogging I've made several such 'real' connections, one of which is Terry, a long-time reader of my blogs with whom recently I began exchanging letters.

Today, I received a jam-packed 'Welcome to Your New Home' parcel...

Clearly Terry 'knows' me very well - every single item is just perfect: different kinds of crayons for me to experiment with, beautiful washi-tape, a gorgeous 'eco' journal, butterflies and fancy script stickers, a wee black cat, sage and palo santo for smudging AND a beautiful bouquet of wild flowers - wow!

These are SOOO perfect, as I just bought this...

... and I fully intend to keep such a journal to record the abundant beauty all around me here in our new home:

a neighbour's wee apple orchard

the sun-trap in the far corner of the garden

a tumble-down gate near the church

the changing seasons

Yes, I'm surrounded by natural beauty, but also the deep beauty of generous, thoughtful friends... Truly, I am blessed :)
