Before I begin
One of hubby's colleagues was at the concert with her pre-teen daughter... thankfully they're both OK, but what an ordeal for all concerned...

No surprise what's on my desk this week... bits 'n' bobs for creating ATCs. This is only the second time I've done this since the stroke 10 years ago (I used to make and swap ATCs all the time), but it's still difficult making them with my one useful, but non-dominant left hand, but I am getting better at handling tiny pieces of ephemera!
I've made 4 wee cards in total, so if you'd like to swap, let me know via the Contact Form at the bottom of the page on the right - I'm happy to ship anywhere in the world (I'm in England :) )

ReplyDeleteYou've got some beautiful beginnings to your ATCs. I adore those butterflies. Glad you are starting to get that non-dominant hand to work for you. Happy 8th Anniversary from # 1.

I love the way that little fox is framed so nicely by the blue fram! Hope you've had fun making the ATCS, I've copped out with mine a little this year but at least I got a few made. I'm pleased that you're able to use your arm a bit more now, that's great news.

ReplyDeleteLove how you are managing to make ATCs with all the tiny bits too, I have to use tweezers a lot of the time now. BJ#19
ReplyDeleteHi Claire, I'd love to swap with you, I'm UK too, so I'll send you my contact details, if you'll send me yours as well?
ReplyDeleteGood to hear you are getting more use from your non dominant hand, I remember how hard it was to do anything when I had my dominant arm in a splint a few years ago, so I applaud your progress. Have a lovely week, Love and hugs,Shaz #7 XxX

Well, making anything with a non dominant hand is incredibly difficult, so we all applaud you, I find ATCS small and fiddly and almost daunting, they don't come naturally to me at all, so absolutely love that you've gone to such an effort for WOYWW!
ReplyDeleteWell done on making the ATC's surprising what you can do with motivation and determination. ANickoana #15
ReplyDeleteThose butterflies colors look so pretty and eye-catching in this still life shot :) YAY! for you for being able to create.

Lovely stash of sun things to use! I applaud the fact that you managed to make 4 ATCs - not sure I would be able to do that without my dominant hand! So glad to hear your friends are safe. Happy WOYWW Anniversary! Lindart #51
ReplyDeleteHappy 8th Anniversary! I love the colorful butterflies. I'm glad your friends are OK, and that your getting your left side to take over. I had smashed my right hand when I was a kid, so I can totally relate to what you're going through! Have a great week.
